Unless you live under a rock, you have probably heard about the odd situation around bundler, rubygems.org, the former maintainers, the withdrawal of access, the waffling around and Ruby core taking over.
I want to give a tiny bit of context for people who haven't followed the events as closely and then turn this into an open discussion about what this all means for Ruby, for rubygems.org and for Open Source in general.
